Rochdale’s MP has welcomed a new business to the town after attending the opening of Riverdale Insurance in the old post office on the Esplanade. The building is now named Number 2.
Founded by Asif Khan, the independent insurance broker offers a wide range of specialist insurance cover for property owners, commercial business, and charities among other clients. They are also the UK’s leading mosque insurance broker, providing cover for over 300 mosques.
“It’s always pleasing to welcome smart new businesses to our town that are looking to grow fast,” said Simon at the launch. “Asif is a young entrepreneur and I’m delighted that he’s decided to locate his business here. It’s yet another vote of confidence in the town centre.”
Speaking at the launch, Asif Khan said he was happy to locate in a “great part of town” and had been made to feel very welcome.
“We’re here to support local business as a broker in the town centre,” he said. “We believe there’s a gap in the market for a local broker who knows the town well. It’s important to have someone on your doorstep where you can easily access professional advice.”
