Thinking of adopting? In stage one of assessment?

caroline shergold the adoption parenting coach illustrationHello! This stage is for you if you are thinking of adopting, have questions and are wanting information and support about adopting. We’ll look at all the questions adopting raises. Will an adopted child feel like my child? What if we don’t get accepted? I have a lot of stuff from my past, might that get in the way of adopting? I’m worried that I might not know how to parent a traumatised child?

This stage is also for you if you have taken that exciting leap and are in stage one of the process. Some people can find that they have some issues of their own to work through before they proceed onto stage two and this is a place you can have support to work through those issues to get yourself ready for the assessment stage.
